5 GCSE (or equivalent) grades A*-C/9-4 to include English language, English literature, maths, and Science.

Future Prospects

For our most driven and high-performing apprentices there will be the offer of full time employment and the opportunity to progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship and to study more advanced qualifications such as the Higher National Diploma or a Foundation Degree.

Things To Consider

Candidate must be able to attend our Pinxton Site for 4 days each week and attend college in Chesterfield for 1 day each week.

You will be expected to work hard both in the workplace and at college for both practical and theory based projects.

Training

Engineering technician

An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be expected to work towards the Engineering Technician Level 3 (Machining) Standard, with support from your employer and Learning Unlimited.

As part of your apprenticeship and dependent on your prior attainment you may be required to complete maths, and English Functional Skills which is an integral part of your apprenticeship.  Upon successful completion you will be awarded an additional certificates of recognition for these qualifications.
