Joining forces to harness new talent

Ten new apprenticeships are to be created by Derbyshire Constabulary as part of their long commitment to developing their workforce for the future.

Learning Unlimited are currently recruiting for these apprenticeship positions across different departments at the Force Headquarters in Ripley. The roles involve a variety of clerical and administrative duties and will also involve studying towards a Level 3 vocational qualification.

Derbyshire Constabulary and Learning Unlimited have a long-held partnership and together have already recruited and trained apprentices over the past years in order to respond to the training needs of the organisation. To find out more about some of the apprenticeships, check out the Derbyshire Constabulary website.

Kirsty Norman, HR Development Manager from Derbyshire Constabulary said : “It is essential to give young people the best opportunity you can. As a large employer we have a responsibility to play a part in that through apprenticeships but we can also see how taking on apprentices benefits us too. We get a chance to grow our own staff and harness young talent. I have seen how apprentices grow up in the organisation and move on to work for us becoming very valued employees.”
