New dates for first aid courses

We’re now taking bookings for our next First Aid courses, which take place at our Derby campus on Pride Park.

A new date has been added for a one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course, with the next one taking place on Wednesday 4 September. The course costs £120 (plus vat) per person and includes guidance on how to provide basic first aid in an emergency situation. It includes advice on how to deal with common injuries and take care of people who are choking, bleeding and/or in shock.

There are also some spaces on our three-day First Aid at Work course, which will take place at the Derby campus between Monday 22 July and Wednesday 24 July. In the meantime, places are filling on the new Mental Health First Aid courses at our Chesterfield campus, which enable businesses to invest in their employees and raise awareness of the importance of mental health.

Meanwhile, for managers, supervisors and staff who want a more comprehensive understanding of health and safety issues in general, there is also the option to join the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, which takes place from 27 June at Chesterfield College and runs on 10 consecutive Thursdays. The course covers the main legal requirements for health and safety in the UK. It deals with the identification and control of workplace hazards and the practical way in which to approach them and leads to a globally recognised qualification on completion of the course.

For further details about all of these courses check out the training course section on our website. Places can be booked online or by calling 0345 850 1055.
