Are you wondering how you are going to find an apprenticeship in the middle of a pandemic? If you are, the good news is, there are many opportunities and a wide range of apprenticeship vacancies available to choose from.

If you want to kick start your career or retrain, now is a good time to explore the apprenticeship route as a way to build your future.

Lots of opportunities

Throughout the pandemic, Learning Unlimited has continued to see demand from employers wishing to recruit apprentices. Understandably, the majority of this demand has come from keyworker employers who have continued to work and operate throughout the national lockdowns. Employers from various sectors such as engineering, construction, health and care as well as business support are all creating exciting apprenticeship opportunities, which are available now.

Since the first lockdown, we have helped hundreds of apprentices on their journey to success by carefully matching their skills and career goals to the needs of the employers we work with. You could be next.

How do apprenticeships work in a pandemic?

There is no reason to put your apprenticeship plans on hold. You can still apply for and secure an apprenticeship during lockdown. We have developed a range of ways to work with you virtually. We’ll help you find out what kind of apprenticeship would suit you best and take you through the application and interview process when we find the right opportunity for you.

You’ll also have the peace of mind that our employers are operating in a COVID safe way and adhering to Government Guidelines.

When you start your apprenticeship you can still benefit from a great learning experience too. You will have full support of a tutor who will guide you every step of the way.  We have always worked with employers to deliver teaching and learning in a variety of ways to suit their needs which meant we adapted quickly to teaching online.

Don’t take my word for it. This is how Suzie, a L3 business administration apprentice has continued with her apprenticeship during the pandemic and why she is glad she made a start! She told us:

“There has been lots of communication and support with my work colleagues and my tutor during lockdown, which has been really helpful. Even with working from home, my confidence has increased massively and I feel part of the team.”

What options do apprenticeships offer to build your future?

At Learning Unlimited we offer 50 different apprenticeships starting from Level 2 through to degree level!

Apprenticeships provide the perfect platform to kick start your career. They allow you to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours employers really value. As you transition through the different levels of apprenticeship, this will allow you to progress into more advanced roles and increase your earning potential.
