Ashgate Hospicecare has been named as Learning Unlimited’s Employer of the Month. The organisation, based in Chesterfield, was recognised for demonstrating a huge commitment to developing apprentices and giving them the skills for a successful future career.
Working with Learning Unlimited, the organisation ensures that apprentices have a meaningful and productive learning journey. The commitment to apprenticeships is part of the culture of the organisation and apprentices are given fantastic opportunities which means they develop skills to help them secure a full time position.
Ashgate Hospicecare has provided opportunities for business administration apprentices for some time but more recently they have adopted the trailblazer Level 3 AAT apprenticeship.
Julie Richards, Principal and Chief executive of the Chesterfield College Group presented Peter Bradbury, Director of Finance, who has been instrumental in the introduction of the AAT apprenticeship in the organisation and in supporting apprentices on the programme, with the award. He said;
“Working with Learning Unlimited is easy, our account manager and tutor are very accommodating and professional, they make sure everything is taken care of. Apprentices are the next generation of our workforce, they bring energy and fresh ideas to the business along with a real willingness to learn and succeed.
