Chesterfield College Group has been named as the winner of the Education Business Partnership of the Year award at the East Midlands Chamber Awards 2019. They joined 13 other winners when the Chamber celebrated the strength and successes of businesses across Derbyshire last week.
The award recognises the role Chesterfield College Group play in developing skills of the local workforce in partnership with employers in the region. The group’s apprenticeship provision, quality work experience opportunities and collaboration with employers to design courses and training opportunities provided a winning combination.
David Higham, Chesterfield College Group Commercial Director said:
“We have a proven track record of developing strong partnerships with employers of all sizes across a range of sectors to deliver the skills they need. Ensuring the employability of our students and apprentices is at the heart of everything we do. It is crucial that we work in partnership with businesses to ensure we can continue to serve them and our students effectively.”
“Our staff work really hard to develop relationships with employers as well as instil a strong work ethic into students and apprentices. This award gives them recognition for the time and effort they put in for the benefit of their learners and local businesses. It is an honour to be recognised for the way we work by winning this award.”
